Guided fly fishing trips
Montana Fishing Company
The Thompson River is located just ten minutes from the town of Thompson Falls, Montana. It sits just off of Highway 200 and is easily accessible. With that being said, the Thompson River is quite isolated and flows through no town. The locals in Thompson Falls value this river and watch after it as if it was their own. It is nice to see the community come together to protect such a resource. Montana Fishing Company does not exploit this resource because we are locals as well. We limit our trips to about ten a year so others can enjoy the Thompson River without immense fishing pressure from outfitters. We offer float fishing in the spring and wade fishing after the first of July. The Thompson River is a tributary of the massive Clark Fork River. The crystal clear water is impressive during the spring snow melt. Most of the rivers in Montana are not fishable at this time, but the Thompson River offers us some of the best spring fishing around.
